1. Purpose, Association, and Acceptance

• 1.1. Site and organisers - The website www.hashtagsuraksha.com (the “Site”) is operated by Cyber Buddha Techno Legal Private Limited (the “Organisers") as the official public-information resource for Hashtag Suraksha, a national cyber-safety Olympiad for teenagers. It exists to inform, to educate, and to guide users to the appropriate government platform for participation.
• 1.2. Institutional association - The programme is organised in association with CERT-In under the aegis of MeitY, and the Site reflects that public-interest posture in both tone and safeguards.
• 1.3. Primacy of MyGov - Registration, participation, evaluation, issuance of certificates, and any recognition or prizes are administered on MyGov. The Site is not the system of record. If a discrepancy arises, MyGov rules, results, and timelines prevail.
• 1.4. Acceptance - By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.
• 1.5. Linked policies - Processing of personal data and the use of cookies or analytics are governed by the Privacy Policy (www.hashtagsuraksha.com/privacypolicy) and the Cookie Notice (www.hashtagsuraksha.com/cookiepolicy), each of which forms part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility, Minors, and Verification

• 2.1. Open access - The Site may be browsed by anyone for informational and educational purposes.
• 2.2. Minors’ interactions - If you are under 18, any action that transmits information to the Site, including downloads or expressions of interest, should be undertaken with appropriate parent, guardian, or school authorisation as described in the Privacy Policy.
• 2.3. Age verification - To uphold programme integrity and child-safety norms, the Organisers may request proof of age at a later date. Where information is materially inaccurate or misrepresented, access or recognition on the Site may be limited or withdrawn, without prejudice to processes on MyGov.
• 2.4. Teachers and parents - Educators and parents are expressly permitted to use the Slanglish 101 activity packs in classrooms and at home within the scope of the licence in Clause 5.

3. Scope of the Site

• 3.1. Information and signposting - The Site provides authoritative programme information, timelines, clarifications, and a persistent link to www.mygov.in for participation-related actions.
• 3.2. Exclusions - The Site does not accept entries, conduct evaluations, determine results, or issue certificates or prizes. Those functions are performed exclusively on MyGov.
• 3.3. Availability and diligence - While reasonable technical and editorial care is applied, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available”; scheduled updates, platform changes, or temporary interruptions can occur.

4. E-books and Other Downloads

• 4.1. Licence - Subject to these Terms, a personal, noncommercial, nontransferable, and revocable licence is granted to download and use materials made available on the Site solely for private study or classroom or home use.
• 4.2. Restrictions - You shall not upload, mirror, publicly share, sell, lend, rent, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute downloads, including through cloud drives, social platforms, or groups.
• 4.3. Notices and derivatives - You must preserve all copyright, attribution, and trademark notices. Creating derivative works for any form of distribution is not permitted unless expressly authorised in writing.
• 4.4. Technical measures -To deter misuse and protect educational value, downloads may be delivered with watermarking or unique links, and the Site may employ expiring links, download counters, rate limiting, and automated blocking.
• 4.5. Title-specific rule - The title Why Smart People Get Hacked? is not offered as an e-book on the Site and may be purchased as a paperback via www.amazon.com/. Other listed titles may offer free e-book downloads and paperback purchase options via www.amazon.com/
• 4.6. Revocation - Where these Terms are breached, the licence may be suspended or terminated, and you must cease use and delete copies on notice.

5. Slanglish 101 Activity Packs

• 5.1. Intended use - The activity packs are designed to help teachers and parents build shared literacy around digital slang and online communication norms in a constructive, age-appropriate way.
• 5.2. Licence - The licence and restrictions in Clause 4 apply. Public web posting or redistribution is not permitted.
• 5.3. Integrity of activities - To preserve the usefulness of the packs across future sessions and workshops, answer keys or worked solutions should not be shared publicly.

6. OS Settings Guide

• 6.1. Nature - The guide covering Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS is an educational reference and does not constitute a vendor manual or professional advice.
• 6.2. Rapid change - As operating systems evolve, settings and paths may change; users should verify steps against official vendor documentation before making changes.
• 6.3. Responsibility - Device configuration choices rest with the user. To the extent permitted by law, the Organisers shall not be liable for issues arising from configuration choices or their interaction with device-specific variables.

7. User-Generated Content and Embeds

• 7.1. Embeds - From time to time the Site may display publicly available content, for example reels, embedded from platforms such as Instagram or YouTube (“UGC").
• 7.2. No submissions on this Site - The Site does not accept UGC submissions for hosting or showcasing.
• 7.3. Standards - Where embeds are displayed, the Site applies youth-suitable standards consistent with a public-interest initiative. Prohibited categories include nudity or sexual content, bullying or harassment, hate speech, terrorism or violent extremism, promotion of self-harm or suicide, illegal or dangerous acts, child sexual abuse material or endangerment, privacy violations or doxing, malware or phishing, intellectual-property infringement, non-consensual imagery, scams or spam, and any content unlawful in India.
• 7.4. Takedown - Concerns about embedded content may be raised with the Grievance Officer identified in Clause 14. Acting in good faith, the Organisers may remove or disable display.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

• 8.1. Independence - MyGov, Amazon.in, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Drive, analytics providers, and hosting or CDN services each operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which govern when you use those services.
• 8.2. No control or endorsement - The Organisers do not control third-party services and do not endorse or assume responsibility for their availability, content, or practices.
• 8.3. No affiliate arrangements - The Organisers do not operate affiliate or commission arrangements in respect of outbound links.

9. Intellectual Property

• 9.1. Ownership - Except for UGC and third-party content, all Site materials, including text, graphics, design assets, and the marks “Hashtag Suraksha,” “Cyber Buddha,” and “Cyber Shield”, are owned by Cyber Buddha Techno Legal Private Limited.
• 9.2. Registered rights - © 2025. All trademarks are registered to Cyber Buddha Techno Legal Private Limited.
• 9.3. Permitted viewing - Materials may be accessed and viewed for personal, noncommercial purposes only.
• 9.4. Anti-scraping - Automated scraping, text or data mining, and bulk extraction are prohibited (subject to applicable law). The Site may implement rate limiting and blocking to preserve platform stability and rights.

10. Data, Privacy, and Sponsor or Donor Interest

• 10.1. Collection points - Limited contact details, for example name, email, and phone (as further set out in the Privacy Policy), may be collected to enable the delivery of downloads and to respond to sponsor or donor interest.
• 10.2. DPDP alignment - Processing is undertaken in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; the Privacy Policy explains the lawful bases relied upon, consent including for minors, retention periods, security safeguards, and how data principal rights can be exercised.
• 10.3. USI coordination - Sponsor or donor enquiries submitted via the Site form or impact@hashtagsuraksha.com are coordinated with the United Services Institution of India (USI), which is responsible for eligibility for any tax deductions, issuance of receipts, and compliance. The Site does not accept donations or issue receipts.

11. Security, Responsible Disclosure, and CERT-In

• 11.1. Measures - The Organisers maintain reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a public information website.
• 11.2. Prohibited conduct - Probing, scanning, bypassing security controls, or interfering with access is not permitted.
• 11.3. Responsible disclosure - Potential vulnerabilities may be reported to kamaljeet.muni@adrey.in. The Organisers will acknowledge and coordinate remediation in good faith.
• 11.4. CERT-In cooperation - In line with applicable CERT-In Directions dated 28.04.2022, the Site will maintain appropriate logs, synchronise time with industry-standard time sources, and cooperate on incident reporting to the extent relevant to a public website.

12. Disclaimers

• 12.1. Educational character - Materials on the Site are provided for public education and awareness and do not constitute professional or legal advice.
• 12.2. Dynamic context - Cyber risks and operating-system features evolve; materials may be updated for accuracy and currency.
• 12.3. Third-party reliance - The Organisers are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party platforms, networks, or service providers.
• 12.4. Programme administration - The Site is not the contest administrator; MyGov governs participation, evaluation, and outcomes.

13. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

• 13.1. Cap - To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the Organisers’ aggregate liability arising from or in connection with the Site shall not exceed INR 1,000 or the amount, if any, that you paid to the Organisers in the six months preceding the claim, whichever is lower.
• 13.2. Carve-outs - This cap does not limit liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
• 13.3. Indemnity - You shall indemnify and hold the Organisers harmless from claims, losses, or costs arising out of intellectual-property infringement or unlawful content in any material you share with us, breach of these Terms, or misuse or redistribution of licensed downloads.

14. Grievance Redressal

• 14.2. Service - Notices and complaints may be served by email to the Grievance Officer.
• 14.3. Notice and action - Takedown requests should precisely identify the content, describe your rights or authority, and include contact details. Acting in good faith, the Organisers may remove or disable display.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• 15.1. Law - These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• 15.2. Forum - Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Parties may, by mutual consent, explore nonbinding pre-litigation mediation without affecting the ability to seek urgent relief.

16. Changes to These Terms

• 16.1. Versioning and notice - The Organisers may update these Terms. The Effective Date and Version appear at the top. For material changes that affect your rights, reasonable notice will be provided on the Site.
• 16.2. Continued use - Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. General Provisions

• 17.1. Severability - If any provision is held invalid, the remainder continues in effect.
• 17.2. No waiver - A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
• 17.3. Assignment - The Organisers may assign these Terms to a successor entity or governmental programme. You may not assign without prior written consent. These Terms bind successors and permitted assigns.
• 17.4. Language - The English version controls. Any translation, if provided, is for convenience only.
